Concept

Kings Place hosted the third concert for K-Music 2018 festival, produced by the Korean Cultural Centre and Serious. 

Urban Sound is a collaboration between percussionist Jihye Kim and pianist Belle Chen, that combines the traditional and experimental with an array of Eastern instruments and Western piano.

For this concert, Korean piri (double reed bamboo instrument) player Seayool Kim and Latin Grammy Award winning Korean violinist Sita Chay play with Urban Sound for the first time.

Execution

The artists were interviewed on the stage before the show. Some of the questions and answers were asked in Korean and translated for the edit. A two camera set up was used to film the event followed by questions to audience members about their thoughts of the sold-out show. A series of photographs were also captured and previously a trailer for the event had been created using preexisting footage.
