Concept

The English Chamber Orchestra string section were back on stage at Cadogan Hall for two days of recording sessions with Floating Earth. This upcoming CD focuses on popular string music featuring ‘Molly on the Shore’, and a Mozart Divertimento. These behind the scenes images capture the performance as the microphones recorded.

Execution

As the UK slowly reopens from COVID-19 and lockdown, a specific set of procedures were in place for the players performing and the technicians recording. While recording the Orchestra had to extend their listening reach to accommodate the two-metre rule.
